Kevin Filiowich and Bette Roberts share the daily experiences of their lives in their new home, Murcia, Spain. After graduating from FGCU, they continue their education with a paid practicum with the Spanish federal government, within the Ministry of Education, as Auxiliares de Conversación in public schools. The purpose of the program is to bring the expertise of native English speakers into Spanish bilingual schools. For the couple, the purpose of living and working in Spain is to practice the skills obtained in their degree program. The placement reinforces their training within the language and education disciplines as they put their knowledge to work in the schools and in their daily lives.
